After losing my job in the Spring of 2020, I felt so many emotions and held back so many feelings about the loss. I didn’t feel comfortable expressing my thoughts to my family and close friends. I felt a sense of shame and didn’t want to burden them with my job loss story.

Heck, I didn’t want to deal with it either, but I knew I needed to because it was weighing me down.

Writing down my thoughts every morning for 5-10 minutes (I call it my “brain dump”) was the first step of letting go of the loss.
